EcoFlow Smart Generator 4000 Dual Fuel – Gasoline & Propane Backup Generator
Product Overview
Prepare for extended power outages with the EcoFlow Smart Generator 4000 (Dual Fuel), a powerful outdoor inverter generator designed to provide dependable electricity and supplemental charging for compatible EcoFlow energy systems.
Featuring convenient gasoline and LPG propane operation, this versatile generator delivers 3,200W continuous rated output on gasoline or 2,900W on propane, giving you flexibility when choosing a fuel source for home backup, outdoor work, or emergency preparedness.
With up to 4,000W peak output using X-Boost technology, the Smart Generator 4000 supports compatible higher-demand equipment while offering smart system integration with select EcoFlow portable power stations.
Designed for properly planned outdoor operation, this generator provides a practical solution for replenishing compatible battery systems during longer outages.
Important: The 4,000W X-Boost rating is not the generator's continuous output. Always select equipment based on the rated output for the fuel being used.

Powerful Dual-Fuel Performance
Gasoline Operation – 3,200W Rated Output
Use gasoline to provide up to 3,200W of continuous rated output for compatible appliances, charging equipment, and other electrical loads.
LPG Propane Operation – 2,900W Rated Output
Switch to compatible LPG propane fuel for up to 2,900W of continuous rated output, providing additional flexibility when gasoline is unavailable or when propane is preferred.
Peak Performance – Up to 4,000W with X-Boost
The generator's X-Boost capability supports certain higher-demand loads under specified conditions. This feature does not increase the generator's continuous rated output to 4,000W.
Fuel consumption and runtime vary depending on electrical demand, fuel supply, environmental conditions, and operating settings.
Smart Integration with Compatible EcoFlow Systems
The EcoFlow Smart Generator 4000 is designed to complement supported EcoFlow battery systems, providing supplemental charging when stored energy becomes depleted.
Depending on the connected power station and configuration, supported features may include:
- DC charging through compatible EcoFlow connections
- Automatic generator starting when battery capacity reaches a configured threshold
- Automatic stopping when supported charging conditions are met
- Integrated generator and battery-system operation
- Coordinated backup charging during extended outages
Compatibility Restriction: DC charging and automatic start-stop functionality are not supported with the EcoFlow RIVER series or DELTA Pro Ultra.
Not every EcoFlow DELTA power station supports every smart generator feature. Confirm your exact power station model, required cables, and supported functions before purchasing.
Power stations, expansion batteries, and optional connection accessories are sold separately unless explicitly included in the selected package.
